Biographical/Historical:     Anna Hahn was the daughter of James W. and Clara Buskirkin Hahn of Chester, Pennsylvania.  Her siblings included James, Mary, Lizzie, and Clara Hahn.  Ann Hahn was the assistant principal of Chester High School in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Summary:     The collection includes photographic copies of six diaries (1897-1925) written by Anna Hahn.  The diaries provide glimpses into Hahn's everyday life and business.  She and her sister, Clara Hahn Smith, owned a number of rental properties in Green Cove Springs, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida; and Chester, Pennsylvania.  Hahn's diaries record her travels between these areas, as well as reactions to such events as the Spanish-American War, the end of World War I, and the first sighting of Halley's Comet.
