Biographical/Historical:     Souvenir booklets were produced by the major railway and steamboat companies as memorabilia and advertising from the 1880s until early in the twentieth century.
Summary:     This collection contains four souvenir books and one pamplet containing illustrations and photographs from around the state of Florida. One book shows 101 photographs of the 1926 south Florida hurricane.  These photographs cover Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, Miami , Coral Gables and Hialeah.  The second souvernir book is a series of sketches of the major hotels in Saint Augustine dating from 1887. This has views primarily of the Ponce de Leon and Casa Monica hotels. The third souvenir books was published by the Daily News of Palm Beach that gives photographs and a brief history of the Palm Beach area up to 1936. The fourth souvernir book shows Marianna's history with photographs. No date is provided for the publication. The pamphlet is an advertisement for the golf course at the Hotel Ormond at Ormond Beach. It has a few photographs of Ormond Beach and lists the opening and closing dates of all the major hotels on the Florida East Coast Railway for the 1925 and 1926 tourist season.
