Federal Funding for Library Literacy Programs



Library Services & Technology Act (LSTA) grants support local public libraries and their literacy efforts. Projects that receive funding are based on specific needs. These federal dollars have helped support literacy computer labs, family literacy programs, workplace instruction, literacy for people who have disabilities, volunteer tutors, English as a second language services (or ESL), migrant services and more.
